Angela Dawn Kopejtka

Angela Dawn (Campbell) Kopejtka, age 61 of Yankton, SD passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at Sister James Care Center in Yankton.

A memorial visitation will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 23 at Goglin Funeral Home in Yankton.

Angela was born July 27, 1963 in Atkinson, Nebraska to Glenn and Frances (Ketterl) Campbell.

Angela found joy in both family and life. She was a very active woman. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She loved attending her grandchildren’s activities and events. She enjoyed going to family cookouts and seeing the funny farm (a.k.a. Jacob’s Farm) and Sunday football.

Survivors include her children, Travis Hawkinson of Volin, SD, Trenton Hawkinson of Yankton, Amanda Tax-Tzunun of Dallas, TX, Jacob (Tracy) Kopejtka of Lesterville, Alysia Kopejtka of Sioux Falls and Jared (Ellie) Kopejtka of Tyndall; fifteen grandchildren, Erica, Shayna, Ronaldo, Kaida, Dystyni, Bella, Brooklynn, Torrie, Tiana, Michael, Rayna, Taytum, Jayden, Aaliyah and Zayliana; four siblings, Charlene, Ivan, Denise and Cindy and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Frances (Ketterl) Campbell; siblings, Glenda, John, Gary, Robert (Bob) and Sharon and Amanda’s boyfriend, Jose.
