Born on March 1, 1951, in Evansville, Indiana, Carol was the daughter of Robert and Kathleen (Hayden) Hale. She grew up in Evansville, where she attended North High School and later graduated. Carol spent much of her early life in Indiana, but her adventurous spirit led her to live in various states throughout her life before finding her forever home in Tripp, South Dakota, in 2007. It was there that she and her beloved husband, Vladimir, built a life together.
Carol's journey took many paths, but she always took pride in her work and the communities she became part of. She was employed in various roles over the years, including at Subway, the Post Office, and as a grocery store manager. Carol's work ethic was something she valued deeply, and she enjoyed being an active member of the places she lived. Whether it was lending a hand to a neighbor or taking on a new challenge at work, she was always ready for the next project.
A passionate gardener, Carol spent countless hours tending to her plants and sharing the bounty of her garden with those around her. She loved to cook, can, and spend time outdoors, especially enjoying the beauty of nature wherever she went. Carol also found joy in metal detecting, a hobby she picked up during her time in Connecticut, and she spent many hours searching beaches for hidden treasures.
Known for her outgoing and friendly personality, Carol was generous with her time and talents. Whether she was volunteering in her community, helping a friend, or offering a kind word to a stranger, her warm heart touched everyone she met. Carol's spirit of giving and her genuine love for others will be remembered by all who knew her.
Carol is survived by her loving husband, Vladimir; her children, Donald Morris, Jeffery Hon, Jason Hon, Jenilee Hon, and Justin Hon; her sisters, Diana Melton (Chris) and Debbie Woerz (Bob); as well as numerous extended family members and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Kathleen, and brother, Robert Hale Jr.
Family and friends will serve as casketbearers. Carol's memory will live on through the love and kindness she shared with those around her.
