Carol Ann Meyer, age 86, of Tripp, South Dakota, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2025, at Scotland Nursing Home in Scotland, South Dakota. Carol was born on October 5, 1939, in Tripp, South Dakota, to Viola Dean and Clarence Wormsbecher. She grew up in the Tripp area and graduated from Avon High School in 1957. On September 29, 1957, Carol was united in marriage to the love of her life, Maynard Meyer. Together they built a life rooted in family, hard work, and love.

Carol dedicated more than 30 years of service at the Hutchinson County Clerk of Courts in Olivet, South Dakota. After her retirement, she continued working part-time at The New and Used store in Tripp, where she enjoyed staying busy and connected to her community. Carol found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved reading, gardening, and spending time at the casino. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

She is survived by her son, Kevin Meyer; her grandchildren Stacy, Tina, Sheena, Dustin (spouse) Chrystal and Montana; and her great-grandchildren Keyanie, Cayden, Makenzie, Ty, Jordyn, A’Meyah, Trey, Natalie, Amelia, Meyer, Greyson, Emberlee and great-great granddaughter Kaiyah along with many other loving relatives and friends.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Maynard Meyer; her daughter, Amy Stirling; and her brother, Stanley Wormsbecher.

Carol will be remembered for her kind heart, strong work ethic, and deep love for her family. She leaves behind many cherished memories that will be held close by all who knew and loved her.
