Cherry Lyn Faulk

Cherry Lyn Faulk was born Friday, April 11, 1969 to Laura Thompson in Columbia, South Carolina. Cherry spent her early childhood with her family in Japan, later moving to Yankton, South Dakota. She was a graduate of Yankton High School.
Cherry was a farm girl but not a country girl. She loved her horses and her many cats. She was loyal to a fault as you could tell by her close friends. She was a home maker and raised her children with love. She also was kind to any other child that needed help.
Cherry returned to school, receiving a Bachelor Degree in Accounting, CPA in 2013 at USD in Vermillion, South Dakota.
Cherry married the love of her life Rick Faulk.
Cherry died Friday, January 24, 2020 at her country home near Hartington, Nebraska surrounded by her family.
Cherry is survived by her husband Rick; children Alix (Melinda), Cherrissa (significant other Richard McGinniss), Whisper, Leah, Jaiden and Shawn (Amanda); her mother Laura Thompson; nine grandchildren; one brother, Ricky; sister, Melissa; numerous nieces and nephews; special adopted parents, Clayton and Sheryl Simonson.
She was preceded in death by her step dad Bryon Thompson and her best friend Missy Simonson.
