Daniel Hymore

Daniel Nick Hymore, age 61 died Monday, July 24, 2023 at his home in Sioux Falls. At Dan’s request, no services will be held. His final resting place will be in Wyoming.

Dan was born March 17, 1962 to Moody and Celestia “Lettie” (Heaton) Hymore in Sioux Falls. He graduated from Parkston High School with the Class of 1980. Dan worked several jobs over the years. He worked in the Wyoming oil fields, drove truck and did dry wall in North Dakota. He then settled in Sioux Falls where he worked for Transfreight, up until the time of his passing.

Dan loved to hunt and fish. He went on a fishing trip to Minnesota for six straight years in a row. Each year took him to Western South Dakota for hunting season. He was able to shoot a black bear on one of his hunts.

Whenever there was a gathering of family and friends, you could find Dan cooking in his kitchen or at the grill. Dan was very devoted about attending weddings and graduations for all his nephews and nieces. 

Dan is survived by sisters, Glendola Fincher (Garnica) of Tripp, SD and Karen Mae “Hymore” Neal of Raleigh, NC; sisters-in-law, Janice Pascoe of Elizabeth, IL and Julie Pascoe of Parker, SD; nieces and nephews, Loren Fincher of Lexington, OK, Stephen Pascoe of Rochester MN, Jennifer “Pascoe” Smith (Chris) of Bellevue, IA; Jeremy Pascoe of Kingston, ID, Nathen Pascoe of Coeur d’Alene, ID, Travis Pascoe (Sara) of Phoenix, AZ, Teresa “Hymore” Hicks (Andy) of Bellevue, NE, Leigh Ann “Hymore” Lucas (Jim) of Woodbridge, VA, Phillip Hymore of Omaha, NE, Mark Neal of Raleigh, NC, Jim Neal of Sioux Falls, SD, Tom Neal of Wichita, KS and Vicky Neal of Raleigh, NC and best friend since 8^th grade, Dave Welch, who was like a brother to him.

He was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents; father, Moody Hymore; mother, Celestia Hymore; brothers, Rudy E Pascoe and Marvin Lee Pascoe; brothers-in-law, Robert Hymore and Nick Garnica; nieces, Michelle McFarland and Shelly Hymore; nephews, Larry D. Fincher and Matthew Pascoe.
