David Ward Wulfing

David Ward Wulfing, son of Virginia (Tallant) and Carl (Bud) Wulfing was born Saturday, August 13, 1955 at Harvey, Illinois in Cook County. He attended Wiseman College in Steamboat, Colorado. He was married to Deborah Franklin May 2, 1981. Two children were born to them, Todd and Guy.
He was a machinist by trade at Bethlehem Steel in ultra-sound/non-destructive testing and a carpenter. Later in life, he was an avid duck hunter and motorcycle enthusiast. He looked forward to his retirement and wanted to travel. Instead, he lost his year long battle with cancer March 12, 2020 at the age of 64 at home in Verdigre, Nebraska with his beloved Karen Johnson at his side.
Survivors include his son Guy of Tokyo, Japan; his sister Mary Sagisi (Ronelle) of Hawthorn, Ill.; nieces and nephew Sarah, Summer and Sam.
He was preceded in death by his infant son Todd; his father Carl and his mother Virginia.
At his request, his cremation was at Goglin Funeral Home, Tyndall, South Dakota with his cremains to go back to Indiana with his best friend Gary Anderson to be scattered at a later date where he grew up, The Dunes on Lake Michigan, where his parents’ cremains were scattered by David.
