Eugene Dale Jepsen, age 69 of Yankton, South Dakota, died peacefully after a year of battling major heart issues, December 26, 2019 at Avera Sacred Heart Majestic Bluffs in Yankton, South Dakota.
Eugene Dale Jepsen was born in Yankton, SD to Wayne and Glynnis Jepsen (Bye) on March 11, 1950.
Gene could be found on the farm during his childhood - and was able to farm for over 29 years. He met the love of his life, Lori Lee and married her on November 27, 1970. Two children were born to this union, Gary Gene Jepsen and Cheri Lynn Jepsen (Maier). He then quit farming in 1999, and started a new occupation when he built Ma & Pa's C-Store where he served the community for 19 years. Gene "Pa" Jepsen was a social person and loved when people stopped to visit him at the C-store.
Eugene is survived by his parents Wayne and Glynnis Jepsen, his brother Craig (Sara) Jepsen, wife Lori (Lee) Jepsen, son Gary (Shannon) Jepsen, daughter Cheri (Lynn) Maier, grandchildren Heather Maier, Brayden Jepsen, Caden Namminga-Jost, Lexi Maier, Gavyn Jepsen, and Dawsyn Jepsen.

Dear Family, Sorry to hear of your loss. Haven't had the pleasure of knowing all your family, but, as Clyde & Grace Bye's youngest daughter, I feel a kinship to your loss. Reading the obit, It's evident Eugene was well loved. Prayers for you all.

Pa left a lasting imprint on my heart. His smile and laugh could be felt from anywhere in the store. The few years I worked for you were a blessing. You will be missed. My deepest heart felt condolences to all of you. You are truly a wonderful family.
