Gary Lee Petrik

Gary Lee Petrik was born June 4^th, 1952, in Tyndall, South Dakota. He passed peacefully in his sleep on October 20^th, 2023, at Kingsley Specialty Care in Kingsley, IA at the age of 71.

A memorial service, with military honors, will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 28 at Goglin Funeral Home in Tyndall.

Gary is the son of Felix Roy Petrik and Shirley Lorraine Petrik (Pyper). Gary attended Bon Homme County schools before he enlisted into the Army. After his 5 years of service throughout Alaska and Oklahoma, Gary attended the University of South Dakota-Springfield for a diesel mechanic program.

Gary married Rose Ann VanDeZande and had two children, Raymond and Jeannie Petrik. Gary spent most of his adult life working for IBP/Tyson Foods. In his free time, he loved to fish and hunt throughout South Dakota.

Gary is survived by his brother, son, daughter, and granddaughter.
