George Broz

George was born to Alois and Amelia (Plihal) Broz, on September 22, 1928 at Rural Tabor, SD. He grew up on the farm and attended school in Tyndall. On June 12, he married Dolores Frank in Scotland, SD. George had worked several jobs in his life, He built bridges, worked at the Chevy garage in the early 80’s George helped put up fence for the Springfield prison and for most of his life he worked on the family farm. When family and friends would come out the farm to visit there was always something to eat he liked to feed everyone. George enjoyed coon hunting with his son-in-law Bob and fishing with his son-in-law Danny. He spent many hours, playing pinochle with friends, cooking and baking and collecting junk, but most of all he loved playing his accordion. George died on Friday, October 25, 2019 at home peacefully in his sleep at the age of 91 years.
George is survived by his six children, Nancy Rothschadl, Ron (Sharon) Broz, Diane Broz, Judy (Dan) Fleming, Kevin (Alvina) Broz and Kathy (Howard) Hight. 14 grandchildren, Scott, Kim, Stacie, Chris, Corinna, Brooks, Kelli, Tia, Daniel, Lance, Jacob, Travis, Chelsea, Julie and 21 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death are his Wife Delores, parents, Alois and Amelia Broz, Brothers, Louie, Charlie and Emil, Sisters, Mary, Rose and their spouses. One grandson, Bob Rothschadl and Son-in-law Bob Rothschadl, father and mother-in-law’s, Reinhold and Ella Frank and a sister-in-law, Shirley Auch.
