Helen’s Beloved Family
Helen Hattie Rezac was born on February 10, 1920 to Michael and Frances (Walloch) Hale. She attended Tabor Catholic School until the 8th grade. On January 9, 1945, she was united in marriage to Charles A. Rezac at Dante, South Dakota. Together the couple made their home on a farm south of Dante. Helen worked alongside her husband as a faithful farmwife. While raising their children, she also helped by milking the cows and raising chickens and ducks. In 1977, they moved into Tyndall.
Helen was a lifelong Catholic who held the church very dear. She frequently participated in Mass and Rosaries. She also greatly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Helen passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at the Good Samaritan Society of Tyndall having attained the age of 97 years, 4 months, and 24 days.
She is survived and remembered by her sons Tom (Helena) Rezac of Omaha, NE and Alvin (Terri) Rezac of Dante, SD; grandchildren: Trisha Swenson, Stephanie Evens, Charlotte Jaeger, Roger Rezac, and Alan Rezac; great-grandchildren: Tyler Swenson, Shannon Swenson, Nickolas Evens, Carter Evens, Emma Jaeger, Joslynn Jaeger, and Charlie Rezac; and sisters Anna Klocuek and Florance Vesley.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1998, son Charles Rezac in 2015, sister Clara Caba, and brothers Joe Hale and Oscar Hale.
