Jaime Uribe Villafaña, 61, of Yankton, SD, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, from heart complications.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 29, 2025, at Goglin Funeral Home in Yankton, SD.
Jaime was born on February 17, 1964, in Michoacán, Mexico, to Audelia and Manuel Villafaña. For the past 26 years, he worked faithfully as a custodian at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital, where his dedication and kindness touched many lives.
Known for his warm heart and gentle spirit, Jaime cherished his “fur babies” and loved being surrounded by family. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures—fishing, barbecuing, and sharing laughter with those he loved most. His presence brought comfort and happiness to everyone around him.
Jaime is survived by his loving wife, Rosalinda Villafaña; his stepchildren, Perla Yvonne Peña-Navarro, Melissa Peña, and Arturo Peña; his grandchildren; his brothers and sisters, Jose, Rosalio, Gloria, Juan, Rigoberto, Maria, Luis, Rosalinda; his parents, Manuel and Audelia Villafaña; and a wide circle of family and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Jaime’s kindness, humor, and love will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
