Jason Gary Jarvis

Jason Gary Jarvis, 53, of Pierre, South Dakota, passed away unexpectedly on December 17, 2025. He was born on August 17, 1972, in Rapid City, South Dakota, to the late Kenneth and Linda Jarvis.

Jason lived by his own rules, embracing life with creativity and kindness. He especially enjoyed drawing and sketching, finding joy in expressing himself through art. His family and friends will remember him for his warm spirit, his sense of humor, and the way he shared his talents with those around him.

He is survived by his son, Jake Patten; his brother Jerry (Doralynne) Jarvis and their children Lauren and Evan Jarvis, all of Yankton, South Dakota; and his brother Jordan (Jill) Jarvis and their son Xavier Jarvis of Woodbury, Minnesota.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Linda Jarvis.

A funeral service will be held at Faith Lutheran Church in Pierre, South Dakota on Monday, December 22, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Fellowship will follow the service.

He walked a road not paved by men,
