Jerald Lee Neugebauer  was  born  on  March,  25,  1950  to  Harold  and  Pearl  (Jendersee)  Neugebauer in  Parkston,  South  Dakota.  He grew up and attended school in Parkston. 
Jerald was lead singer in the Young Generation band.  His  band  played  at Dianne  Munneke’s  high school  where  she  became  his  number  one  fan.    Later on  February  7,  1969,  Jerald  and  Dianne  Munneke  were  married  in  New  Holland, SD.  Jerald  was  a  passionate  farmer  and  a  dedicated  welder  and  was  known  for  his expertise  in  both. 
He served 13 years in the Army National Guard.  He enjoyed  hunting,  fishing  golfing,  bowling  and  more  importantly  hanging  out with  his  friends  and  family.  He was a jokester and story teller.  He  served  on the  Scotland  City  Council  for  several  years  and  was  a  member  of  the  American Legion.
Jerald  will  be  missed  by  his  loving  wife  Dianne  Neugebauer,  Scotland  SD; three  children,  Michelle  (Richard)  Gielski,  Rochester,  Minn.;  Michael  (April) Neugebauer,  Mitchell,  SD; Mindy  Neugebauer,  Sioux  Falls,  SD; five  grandchildren, Anthony,  Kayce,  Peighton,  Aaron  and  Jaeden;  one  great-grandchild  Carter;  brothers  and  sisters,  Dennis  (Sherri)  Neugebauer,  Wayne  (Rose)  Neugebauer, Cheryl  (Steve)  Hohbach,  Sandy  Neugebauer,  Shirley  Neugebauer  and  Lincoln Neugebauer  and  Jerald’s  mother Pearl Neugebauer.
 He  was  preceded  in  death  by  his  father  Harold  and  his  father  and mother-in-law Henry and Martha Munneke.
