John Hammitt

We are sad to announce the passing of John Hammitt on October 2 of this year, surrounded by his closest family and friends.

John was born in Austin, Minnesota on November 11, 1948. John was proud of his service in the Air Force and his family. John was retired from the Postal Service. John was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to all that he met. He loved visiting with friends, having a laugh, messing with his grandkids, fishing, watching sports, tinkering with cars and motorcycles, playing golf, generally relaxing and enjoying music (not necessarily in that order). He left a lasting legacy of love.

John was preceded in death by his father, Donald and mother, Audrey.  

He is survived by his family, wife, Kathy; brother, Neil; children, Jarvis, Neil, Punky, Emily, Curt; grandkids, Nina, Cody, Taylor, Dillon, Cam, Leah, Anna, Shelby, Mark, Case and Kylie; great-grandkids, Bexley, Emmy, Grayson, Saniyyah, Malayiah and Romance.
