John Charles Rothschadl

John Charles Rothschadl, age 82 of Yankton, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Sister James Care Center in Yankton. A private memorial service will be held.

John was born January 24, 1941 to Emil and Leantine (Schneider) Rothschadl at Tyndall. John married Donna Baker December 27, 1960.  John served in the US Army, retiring after 22 years. During John’s military career, they resided in Ft. Bliss, TX, Germany and Korea. After returning to Tyndall, John was employed at Vishay Dale Electronics. John and Donna then made Yankton their home.

John enjoyed woodworking, walking and fishing. He was a member of the VFW and St. Benedict Catholic Church.

John is survived by his wife of 62 years, Donna; children, Deborah and Bruce Tschosik, Jeff and Gina Rothschadl and Kim and Phillip Vigil; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and brother, Kenneth Rothschadl.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Tony Tschosik; brother, James Rothschadl and sister, Arlene Kronaizl.
