Katherine Elizabeth Deming

Katherine Deming, age 69, passed away Friday, October 3, 2025 at Good Samaritan Society in Scotland.

Katherine "Kathy" Elizabeth Deming (Frederick) was born on November 8th, 1955 in Galesburg, Illinois to Duane Frederick and Dorcas Frederick (Kerr). Kathy enjoyed few things in life more than spending her time with babies, especially her grandchildren. She lived in Arizona for a majority of her life, but she spent her last years in South Dakota where she got to see her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as see all of the snow, watch the squirrels get into the bird feeders, and cheer on her favorite NFL team, the Minnesota Vikings. Kathy also had a deep love for anything Wizard of Oz.

Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, as well as her brother, Daniel Frederick and sister, Anna "Annie" Duckwiler (Frederick).

Kathy is survived by sons, Bradley Deming Jr. and Neil Deming, and daughter Linda Deming-Paulson. Along with her children, she is survived by her grandchildren, Marlee Karge, Elizabeth Karge, Mickey Karge, Howard "James" Karge III, and Shaun Deming as well as her great-grandchildren, Rory Kainrath, Dominic Richter, Dean Kline, and Sage Van Engen.
