Kenneth P. Eckholt, Sr. was born on July 30, 1951 to Cyril and Mary (La Londe) Eckholt in Yankton, South Dakota. He was baptized at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Yankton.
Ken worked at Koberg’s Manufacturing Company for numerous years. He later enjoyed many hours on the open road as a truck driver until his retirement. Ken was very passionate about hunting, fishing, and his band, The Chasers. He loved playing his guitars and drinking coffee.
Ken passed away on Monday, July 30, 2018 at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, South Dakota having attained the age of 67 years.
He is survived by his special friend Cardyn Kleinschmidt; sons: Tom Eckholt of Mason City, IA, Tim Eckholt of Colorado, Kenneth (Victoria Vellek) Eckholt Jr. of Tyndall, SD, and Jesse (Doris) Eckholt of Box Elder, SD; step-daughter Marlene (Nathan) Massey of Pensacola, FL; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brother Daniel Eckholt of Waynescreek, MO; and sister Lee Ann Eckholt of Tyndall, SD.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Tom and Steven Eckholt, sister Mary Young, grandson Dylan Lee Eckholt, and nephew Tommy Lee Eckholt.
