Kevin Vellek, 58, passed away peacefully from kidney failure, Monday, April 6, 2026 at his rural Scotland home.
Kevin James Vellek was born July 1,1967 to Louis and Nyla (Jezek) Vellek. Kevin lived on the farm his entire life, helping his father and brothers with the farming.
Kevin was a 1985 graduate of the Class of the Bon Homme Cavaliers. He enjoyed sports and was actively involved in baseball with coaching and wrestling where he received the 2023-2024 SD High School Dedication Award and the 2026 Distinguished Lifetime Service Award.
He is survived by his older brother, Marlowe; older sisters, Cathy, Marlene, Laurie and Marcia; four nieces and great-nephews and nieces.
Kevin is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael and a nephew.
There will be no services at this time.
