Lamoine Janssen

Lamoine was born on February 21st, 1945 in Avon, SD to Ella (Edwards) and George Janssen. He married Judith Ann Way on August 3^rd, 1965 in Alva Florida. They spent 51 happy years together until her passing in June of 2016.

Lamoine was a hardworking family man who always put his family first. In his earlier years he worked as a chief engineer on a dredging barge in Louisiana, West Virginia, Texas and Mexico. He also spent many years as a Dump truck driver in Florida until returning to South Dakota as co-owner of Janssen Garbage Service until his retirement. Lamoine always enjoyed time with family and friends, working on race cars and going to the races. However his greatest joy was his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

Lamoine is survived by his children, Karmela (John) Volovlek, Kammie Janssen, Lonnie (Cathleen) Janssen and Damian (Kacy) Janssen; brother, Lowell Janssen; nephews, Virgil (Kim) Janssen, Lowell Jr. (Melissa) Janssen and George (Missy) Ridgway; niece, Ella Kocmich; grandchildren, Cody Volovlek (Sammi), Kyle (Brittany) Volovlek, Nathan Volovlek, Zachary Janssen, Shayla (Jared) Hjelm, Damian Jr. (Allison) Janssen, Amanda, Charlie and Emma Logan; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Wyatt, Delilah, Anna, Addison, Nealey, Oakley and baby boy on the way.
