Larry Loren Weisser, born August 17, 1947, in Parkston, South Dakota, passed away peacefully and will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his work, and his service to his country.
Larry was born to Ruben and Wynetta (Tiede) Weisser. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Ness Weisser on July 2, 1967, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Yankton, South Dakota.
Larry proudly served in the Army National Guard from 1964 to 1970. He spent much of his working life at M-Tron for 37 years and later worked at Hy-Vee for 15 years before retiring.
Larry enjoyed spending his time fishing and hunting, and he was known for his collection of Hamm’s Beer memorabilia and was known by many as the “Hamm’s Man.” He also loved trips to the casino and was always proud when he came home a winner. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who were his greatest pride.
He is survived by his spouse, Dorothy Weisser; his children, Melissa Crosley of Crofton, Nebraska, and Casey Weisser and wife Dawn of Andover, Kansas. He is also survived by four grandchildren, McKenzie and Megan Weisser, and Tanner and Cody Crosley; and two great-grandchildren, Adeline and Harvey.
He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Dorinda Lee; his parents, Ruben and Wynetta Weisser; his brother and sister-in-law, Don and Dee Weisser; and his son-in-law, Russ Crosley.
Larry will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.
