Loyd McComb

October 14, 1937 — March 5, 2026

Springfield

Loyd McComb's colorful life's journey ended on March 3rd, 2026 at Avera Sister James Care Center. Loyd was well known for his love of metal detecting and coin collecting. He spent many enjoyable hours at the flea market and auctions. He made friends easily and had many metal detecting and coin collecting friends and associates. He spoke often about a metal detecting trip he took to Spain in 2001 with Les and Judy Taylor. He is survived by his niece Karleen Powell, who made many visits from Kansas City. His wishes will be fulfilled when Karleen takes his remains back to his family in Arkansas. No services are planned. Karleen wishes to thank all who cared for Loyd in his time of need. Especially the nursing staff at Sister James Care Center, and the many friends that visited him in the home.
