Lorraine Mae Miller was born February 20, 1928 to Walter and Lillian Mielenz in Shenandoah, IA. She passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, SD at the age of 90.
On April 3, 1948 she married Mark L. Miller of Gayville, SD in Brush, CO. She spent the next 70 years doing what she loved; being homemaker for Mark and their children. She enjoyed sewing, needlepoint, crocheting, and baking (especially bread, her secret to a long marriage).
Lorraine is survived by her husband Mark of Yankton, SD and their four children: Diane Mulloy, Surprise, AZ; Ron Miller & Sheryl, Gayville, SD; Carol Johnon, Sioux City, IA; and Karla (Chuck) Iverson of Yankton; six grandchildren, Thea Mulloy (Matt) Raab; Jack (Sarah) Johnson; Aaron Johnson; Cassie Iverson (Robb) McClemans; Kara Iverson (Andrew) Simer; Colton (Sarah) Iverson; eleven great grandchildren; and one brother Gene (Connie) Mielenz.
She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Lillian; and two brothers, Richard Mielenz and Darrell Mielenz.
Honoring her final wishes, there will be no formal service.
