Marcine Ann (Walloch) Repp was born November 12, 1943, in Yankton, SD to Thomas and Rose (Cap) Walloch. She grew up on a farm south of Lesterville, SD. Growing up she attended the St. Wenceslaus Catholic School and a rural one-room schoolhouse, Grail School. In 1954, when she was eleven years old, her mother passed away. After the 9th grade she left Tabor High School to help her dad on the farm. Although she was only planning to take one year off from school, she continued working on the farm. Later, after having her children, she obtained a GED.
She married James E. Repp in 1962. They divorced in 1986. When she married, she moved to Yankton, SD. She worked for Stuelpnagel’s Egg Processing Plant until 1971. Through their marriage they had four children, Jerry, Lori, Kevin, and Vicki. She was a stay-at-home mom for many years before going back to work. She held a variety of positions throughout the years, including working multiple jobs at a time, up until 2017. She primarily worked in housekeeping, including many years at Sister James Nursing Home, where she deeply cared for the residents. In 2015, she connected with special friend, Marvin Manas Sr. and his family extended hers, through his children (spouses) and grandchildren.
Her pride and joy were her grandchildren and Marvin’s. She made many trips throughout the years to spend time with her grandchildren in Missouri. She enjoyed visiting and spending time with family and friends. She was a very social person and enjoyed going to the Senior Citizens Center. She loved to send greeting cards, taking great care in selecting just the right card and writing a personalized note for that special person. She hardly missed a birthday. She loved going to Czech Days, Riverboat Days, festivals, concerts, tractor pulls, demolition derbies, and mud runs. She also loved to watch sports. She is loved and will be deeply missed.
