Margery Mabel Wiederrich Nelson was born on March 15, 1916 to Carl and Ethel (Otto) Hawley. Margery married Edwin Wiederrich on July 12, 1934. They farmed south of Tripp until Edwin passed away in 1972. Together, they raised two daughters, Darla and Peggy. She married Ward Nelson on July 26, 1980 and they lived in Salem, South Dakota and Arizona. Ward passed away in 1991. Margery worked for a time at the Tripp Bowling Alley. She entered the Avera Brady Health Center in Mitchell in October of 2002 and was a resident there until her passing on Sunday, April 20, 2008 at the age of 92 years, 1 month and 4 days.
She is survived by her daughters, Darla Huether of Polson, Montana and Peggy (Bill) Haywood of Mitchell. Also surviving are four grandchildren: Kevin (Carol) Huether of Rapid City, South Dakota; Kelly Huether and special friend Michelle of Tampa Bay, Florida; Stacie Huether and Partner Shawn Lund of Missoula, Montana; Wade (Shondra) Haywood of Golden, Colorado; five great-grandchildren: Matt, Myles and Kayla Huether of Rapid City and Brandie Huether and Kelly Lund of Missoula, Montana; and five step-children: Sandra (Jerry) Robinson, Sally (Leon) Ellwein, Mary (James) Steele, Elizabeth (Patrick) Mullen and William (Bonnie) Nelson.
She was preceded in death by both husbands, her parents, brothers Lyle and Ivyn Hawley and sisters Laura (Horn) Kerrigan and Edythe Meyer.
