June 16, 1946 — March 6, 2022

Marilyn Ann (Stillman) Pietz, age 75, of Tripp, SD was called to her heavenly home Sunday, March 6, 2022.

Marilyn was born June 16, 1946 in Nebraska to Elmer and Beata (Steinmeyer) Stillman, joining sisters, Darlis and Janice and her twin brother, Merlin. The family was completed later with sister, Doreen. At an early age, the family moved to the family farm near Tripp, SD. Marilyn attended the country school close to the farm, through 8th grade. She attended Tripp High School where she met her husband-to-be, Jimmy.

Marilyn and Jimmy were married on March 28, 1964. They farmed east of Tripp for 41 years. Along with being a hard-working farm wife and loving mother, she worked at Lazy H, Weber's Grocery, Raven Industries and Schwartz Farms. Jim and Marilyn moved to town in 2007 where they enjoyed their retirement years together.

Marilyn loved her family and was very proud of how she raised them. Marilyn enjoyed reading, gardening and canning, which was very evident if you looked in her cellar. Other hobbies included playing cards with her friends, talking on the phone with her daughters and she enjoyed attending her grandchildren's events. Most of all, Marilyn enjoyed embroidery and quilting. She made sure every child and grandchild, has one of her quilts, which they cherish.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Jimmy, of nearly 58 years; her three daughters, Konnie (Gary) Soukup, Scotland, SD, Kristie (Merald) Gall, Tripp, SD and Karla (John) Koons, Mitchell, SD; three grandsons, Cole (Nikki) Koons, Carter Koons and Colby Soukup; three step-grandchildren, Stacy (Terry) Klumker, JJ (Luisa) Gall and Jamie (David) Ash; nine step-great-grandchildren, Angelique, Xzavier, Mekiah, Jaida, Brooklyn, Emma, Devon, Elyce and Ellysa.
