Martha  Flamming Grimme

Martha Louise (Goins) Flamming Grimme, age 76 of Tyndall, passed away March 24, 2018. She was born January 30, 1942 to C.E. (Gene) Goins and Louise (Parsons) Goins of Custer, SD. Martha graduated Custer High School (1960) and South Dakota State University (1964). At the age of 9 Martha knew she wanted to become an Extension Home Economist and she worked for the State of South Dakota for 37 years as the Bon Homme County Extension Educator in Tyndall, SD.  Following retirement she continued to support 4-H in Bon Homme County as well as judging exhibits at the Wright County Fair in Minnesota. Martha had a true love of 4-H and touched many in the communities she served by teaching sewing and home economics classes. Martha was an active member of the Tyndall (SD) and Buffalo (MN) United Methodist Churches.
Martha is predeceased by her first husband Jon D. Flamming, parents, step-son Bryan Grimme and brother-in-law Larry Thompson. She is survived by her husband Norman C. Grimme, sisters Barb Pierce and Wilma Thompson, brother Larry (Elaine) Goins, and children Steven (Karen) Flamming, James (Heidi) Flamming and Janet (Darren) Silverness and step-son Mark (Julie) Grimme, step-daughters Marcia Plaschko and Sheryl Immel and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
