Richard Ray Zander

Richard Ray Zander was born June 1, 1963 to Willard and ElNora (Schweinforth) Zander in Tyndall, South Dakota. As a child Richard attended Blaha Country School. After graduating from Scotland High School, Richard attended Mitchell Technical Institute and received a degree as an auto technician. He then worked as an auto mechanic in Rapid City, South Dakota and later took a job at the Scotland COOP, bringing him back home. Richard also drove semi and eventually took to farming with his father.
Richard married Linda Baltzer March 26, 1999 in Tyndall, South Dakota.
Richard will be remembered as a courteous brother and a loving, caring husband and step-father. He always enjoyed a good time with many friends. Anyone who knew Richard, knew of his kind hearted personality and his notorious off-the-wall comments that he loved so much. You could always tell something was coming with that famous smirk of his. Richard was a happy-go-lucky person that enjoyed life to the fullest.
Richard passed away on November 4, 2020 at the age of 57.
Richard will be remembered by his mother ElNora Zander; wife Linda Zander; sisters Beverly (Orlyn) Evenson and Diana (Hugh) Ames; brothers Wayne Zander and LeRoy (Diane) Zander; stepsons Paul Baltzer and Billy (Kristi) Schneider; step-granddaughters Morgan and Avery Schneider and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Willard Zander and grandparents.
