Rocky Miller

Rocky Miller was born Wednesday, May 29, 1957 to Jay and Delores (Curtis) in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Rocky’s education began at Laura B Anderson Elementary School and Whitter Jr. High School graduating from Lincoln High School, all in Sioux Falls. After high school he completed trade school in Glasco, Montana.
Rocky married the love of his life Tammy (McGee) Miller July 2, 1982. Rocky was a hard-working man, spending 36 years as a general foreman on the servicing crew for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad.
Rocky loved the outdoors especially fishing, hunting, gardening and riding motorcycles. One of his fondest trips was in 2007 when he rode his motorcycle to Yellowstone National Park. Rocky enjoyed playing Santa Clause, watching “Da Bears”, and spending time with his grandkids and family.
Rocky passed away Monday, January 13, 2020 at Landmann-Jungman Memorial Hospital in Scotland, South Dakota at the age of 62.
Rocky is survived by his wife Tammy; sons Chris, Jay and Casey (Karina) Haraldson; brothers Randy (Kim) Miller and Rick (Pam) Miller and sister Kristy (Mike) Petersen; grandchildren Kaylyn Haraldson and Elizabeth Haug.
He was preceded in death by his father Jay, mother Dee, sister Cindy Geppert, brother Tommy Miller, and grandson Jacob Miller.
