Roger David Fredrickson

January 16, 1957 — September 4, 2017

Roger David Fredrickson, 60, of Alpena, South Dakota passed away at Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD on September 4, 2017. Roger was born on January 16, 1957. He was adopted in Omaha, NE as an infant by John Wallace "Wally" and Gladys (Mashino) Fredrickson. The family lived on a farm outside of Spencer, NE where Roger attended school.
Roger worked numerous jobs throughout the years. He obtained his Commercial Driver License and drove semi for many years. In 1978, Roger married Rhonda Punt and together they had two daughters, Tonya and Tayla. After their divorce, he married Jolene Zwanziger in 1991, from whom he welcomed a step-daughter, TongeLa. Roger and Jolene also had two children together, Teresa and James "Jimmy."
Roger and Jolene lived in Tyndall, SD for many years. They later moved their family to Alpena, SD where Jolene passed away in 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. Roger and Jolene had been married for 24 years and Roger took Jolene's death especially hard. He looked forward to being with Jolene again in Heaven.
Grateful for sharing his life are: daughter Tonya Fredrickson and her 2 children, Ava and Jayce of Mitchell, SD; daughter Tayla (Andrew) Kunis and their 2 children, Logan and Landon of Layton, UT; step-daughter TongeLa Egerdahl and her 2 children, Lenae and Theodore of Lakewood, CO; daughter Teresa Fredrickson and her 3 children, Adalia, Cristian, and Hector of Huron, SD; son James "Jimmy" Fredrickson of Huron, SD; sister Rhonda Moehlenhoff of Overland Park, KS; niece Emma Moehlenhoff of Los Angeles, CA; nephew Grant Moehlenhoff of Lincoln, NE; and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Roger was preceded in death by his wife Jolene, his parents, paternal and maternal grandparents, brother-in-law Jeff Moehlenhoff, and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.
