Roger Ray Stock

Roger Ray Stock, age 60, of Yankton, South Dakota, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, October 23 at Goglin Funeral Home in Yankton. Visitation begins at 12:30 p.m.

Roger was born on February 22, 1965, in Wagner, South Dakota, to Alvin and Grace (Mudder) Stock.

On April 10, 1987, Roger married Tammy Halva in Yankton. They shared 38 years together. On September 4th of that same year, Roger and Tammy welcomed their one and only daughter, Stacey (Stock) Ginsbach, who he adored deeply.

Roger spent his life working hard and caring for his family. His first job was at the Chateau Restaurant. Over the years, he also worked for The Mint Lounge, Pine Lane Estates, Walnut Village, The Center, and Bro Burger. His last job was with Big Burrito Company, where he worked until he was diagnosed with cancer, which eventually disabled him from working.

Roger was a tough, dedicated man and an extremely hard worker. He had a passion for cooking and loved to make anything for his family—especially chocolate chip cookies and deviled eggs. His greatest joy in life was his daughter and grandchildren.

Roger loved music, especially Ozzy Osbourne and Randy Rhoads, and he was a loyal fan of the Miami Dolphins. He also had a special place in his heart for his Saint Bernards.

He is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Stock of Yankton; daughter, Stacey (Dave) Ginsbach of Yankton; four grandchildren: Rylan, Rayce, Riken, and Shilo, all of Yankton; two brothers, Russell Stock of Tyndall and Ronald Stock of Wagner; and one sister, Charlotte Kahnau of Tyndall.

Roger was deeply loved by his family and friends. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his love for cooking, his strength, and the love he poured into his family—especially his daughter and grandchildren, of whom he was so proud.
