Sherrill Ann Chambers

Sherrill Ann Chambers gained her angel wings on March 6, 2025 at the age of 60 after battling cancer for over a year.

Sherrill was born on June 4, 1964 to Bob and Ramona (Hauck) Chambers in Huron, SD. She was a graduate of Tyndall-Tabor High School Class of 1982. After high school she worked as a CNA then moved to Iowa were she met Jeff Thompson and to their union had two daughters, Crystal and Heather. Sherrill moved back to South Dakota and worked at CR Industries, Dollar General, Schmidt’s Convenience and Cahoy’s. She also filled in at the school in the kitchen.

Sherrill loved to spend her free time with her grandkids, going to every sport event she could of theirs. She also loved to crochet and show everyone photos of the grandkids.

Sherrill is survived by her daughters, Crystal Thompson (Scott Sund) and Heather Thompson (Calvin); her grandkids, Samuel Brandsgaard, MaKayla Chamber and Brooklyn Sund; her father, Bob Chambers; her brother, Brian Chambers (Carrie Roth); her nephews, Dylan Chambers and Jesse Chambers and many friends who knew and loved her.

Sherrill was preceded in death by her mother, Ramona Chambers; grandparents, Emanuel and Esther Hauck and many aunts and uncles.
