Vernon Dean Wynia

Vernon Dean Wynia was born on May, 5th 1947 in Avon South Dakota to Jerry and Elsie (Yule) Wynia. He passed away on April 15th 2019 at the Veterans Hospital in Sioux Falls South Dakota.
 Vernon graduated from high school in Springfield South Dakota in 1965 and then joined the Army National Guard in 1967. After the National Guard he then joined the United States Navy on January 13th 1967. He returned home on Jan 10th 1969. After returning to Springfield he began working in the construction business and in 1975 he began Wynia construction that he owned and operated. Vernon will be remembered for his love of fishing and the National Football League, especially the Dallas Cowboys.
Thankful for sharing his life are his son Travis Wynia of Las Vegas Nevada and his granddaughter Marley Ray. Siblings Pat and Jerry Shepard of Omaha Nebraska, Dick and Sheila Wynia of Urbana Ohio, Mike and Judy Williams of Laurel Nebraska, Nancy and Larice Hamilton of Ethan South Dakota, Jack and Sheila Williams of Avon South Dakota, Rusty and Bonnie Williams of Tyndall South Dakota and several nieces and nephews.
Vern was proceeded in death by his mother Elsie Williams and father Jerry Wynia.
A celebration of life will be held this summer in Avon South Dakota.
