Wanda K. Schaeffer

Wanda Schaeffer, age 65 of Yankton, died July 27, 2024 at the Hospice House in Yankton, with family present. There will be no funeral service, which was her wish.

Wanda Kay Schaeffer was born to Calvin and Alice (Gall) Schaeffer on January 27, 1959 in the Yankton hospital. She was baptized by Rev. Kaempschen in the Saron Reformed Church of rural Menno. Wanda graduated from Scotland High School. She worked five years for MTron in Yankton. Then she continued her career at the Baldwin plant in Yankton. She also worked at Wendy’s.

Wanda is survived by her mother, Alice; sisters, Karen Wood and Bonnie Palmer; aunts, Alvina Auch and Rocksie Gall; uncle, Allan Gall; two nephews and a niece; plus many cousins. Her father, Calvin died in 2017.

Wanda loved her animals, also watching lightning storms.
